For Part 1, which guides you about picking your core players, click here.
For Part 2, which guides you about picking your goalkeepers, click here.
For Part 3, which guides you about picking your defenders, click here.
For Part 4, which guides you about picking your midfielders, click here.

Finally it's the Part 5 and also the last part of my team picking guides. Thanks for staying with Fantasy Premier League Zone all the while. In this part we'll talk about strikers, and here are the responsibility of a good FPL forwards:
  1. Score a lot of goals, especially decisive ones (at least 12).
  2. Provides assists occasionally (5++).
  3. Collects a lot of bonus points (preferably 15++).
  4. Not injury-prone.
  5. Came from squad with great offensive supports.
As you can see, there a very few forwards who are able to match the above criteria last season, which leads to very low points for them.

Expensive (£9.0 onwards)
Great strikers from great teams are all in this category.

Torres (£11.5m), Rooney (£11.0m)
Please refer to Part 1.
Anelka (£10.5m), Drogba (£10.5m)
Goals will be shared between them so not really worthy I guess.
Adebayor (£10.0m)
15 goals are plausible but with Mark Hughes around it's a big doubt.
Berbatov (£10.0m)
He'll need to spare his time for Owen.
Van Persie (£10.0m)
Arsenal #1 striker currently. Worth investing.
Robinho (£9.5m)
He might end up playing as LWM... If this happens, it's very hard to predict about him.
Santa Cruz (£9.0m)
Ultimately overpriced. Say NO!

----------------------

Mid Range (£7.0-8.5m)
Still many big names here. But not guaranteed to be consistent.

Owen (£8.5m)
He need to win Berbatov first before winning any fantasy points.
Tevez (£8.5m)
I wonder why is he so cheap.
Keane (£8.5m)
To regain his great touch on ball is his mission this season.
Defoe (£8.5m), Crouch (£7.5m)
Will they work out together to squeeze Keane out of starting 11?
Agbonlahor (£8.5m)
He'll need to improve on his consistency.
Bellamy (£8.0m)
A super duper expensive reserve.
Shevchenko (£8.0m)
The dusk of his career?
Carew (£8.0m)
I think he's better than Agbonlahor, if his body is fit.
Eduardo (£8.0m)
Will he break his leg again?
Yakubu (£8.0m), Saha (£7.0m)
They seems to love their moments with doctors.
Jo (£7.5m)
Another successful loan spell?
Pavlyuchenko (£7.0m)
He should go back to Russia, seriously.
Jones (£7.0m)
If he can co-up nicely with Bent, he'll be great.
Bent (£7.0m)
Better future with Sunderland.
McCarthy (£7.0m)
I don't know how'll he be doing this season.
Voronin (£7.0m)
He can be a better wrestler than a footballer.
Heskey (£7.0m)
Old but experienced.
Cole (£7.0m)
His performance depends on West Ham's improvement.
Davies (£7.0m)
My only doubt on him is his age.

----------------------

Cheap (£6.5m and below)
I love cheap forwards.

Bendtner (£6.5m)
He'll have bigger responsibilities this season.
A Johnson (£6.5m)
I wonder if he can cope with Fulham's packed fixtures.
Beattie (£6.0m)
He's playing with a team rotating around him.
Fuller (£6.0m)
Slightly weaker than Beattie. Still, very good.
Ashton (£6.0m)
Hope that he won't miss another whole season again after 2 or 3 games.
Campbell (£6.0m)
A young gun on fire?
Macheda (£6.0m)
A great youngster.
Welbeck (£6.0m)
A good youngster.
Sturridge (£6.0m)
A youngster. Good, great or just normal?
Elmander (£6.0m)
He failed to prove himself last season.
Benjani (£6.0m)
Forget about him. He stand no chance with the current City.
Roberts (£6.0m)
Uhm... Occasional performer.
Vela (£5.5m)
He has too much of obstacles to get into first team currently.
Ebanks-Blake (£5.5m)
Very underrated in my opinion.
Doyle (£5.5m)
He had the experience at the premiership.
Di Santo (£5.5m)
Is Blackburn a place for him to prove himself?
Zamora (£5.5m)
One of the cheap starters.
Kanu (£5.5m), Nugent (£5.5m)
Portmouth's pathetic forwards.
N'gog (£5.5m)
Voronin's return makes him sad.
Benitez (£5.5m)
Luckily it's not Rafa Benitez who plays on the pitch...
Sinclair (£5.5m)
Chelsea's loanout again.
Cousin (£5.0m)
The only thing about him that caught my attention is his name.

For forwards, I prefer to spend less since only goals will give them extra points. Still, I don't mind if you spend £22-30m for the trio you picked upfront. The strategy for playing forwards is to captain those big names when they play against relegation battlers on the coming gameweek, and avoid playing them when they play against tough defenses such as Fulham, Stoke etc other than the big four.

My Top 3 Picks (Excluding Core Players in Part 1, In Order)
  1. Beattie - The Potters are saved from relegation because of him. In just half of a season he managed to grab the heart of the fans.
  2. Berbatov - With Ronaldo gone, he's the one with most accurate touch in the penalty box now.
  3. Ebanks-Blake - 25 goals in one season for a 23 year old man is a great performance, although it's achieved in a lower division league.
Other good picks: Agbonlahor, Van Persie, Adebayor, Robinho, Jo, Bent, Davies, Cole, Defoe, Carew

Team Picking Guides: Part 4

For Part 1, which guides you about picking your core players, click here.
For Part 2, which guides you about picking your goalkeepers, click here.
For Part 3, which guides you about picking your defenders, click here.
For Part 5, which guides you about picking your forwards, click here.

And now you have reached Part 4, the guide to pick your midfielders. Here's what a good midfielder in FPL does:
  1. He should provide a significant amount of goals and assists (combined figure of at least 10).
  2. He should collect plenty of bonus points (preferably 20++).
  3. He should start regularly at his team.
  4. His team should be able to collect some good amount of clean sheets.
  5. He is the first choice of the team to take free kicks, corners or penalties (in general cases).

Expensive (£8.5 onwards)
Most of the team aces or captains of bigger clubs fall on this price range and are main bonus points collectors.

Lampard (£12.5m), Gerrard (£12.5m), Arshavin (£11.0m)
Refer to Part 1.
Fabergas (£10.5m)
Although he's good, but I would rather spend an extra 0.5m for Arshavin.
Kuyt (£9.5m)
Can he repeat his form last season?
Cole (£9.0m)
He will have difficulties to grab for his position.
Ireland (£9.0m)
Sweet bargain last season, but not this season for his price.
Cahill (£8.5m)
Pray for the injuries for Everton's strikers, and he'll have the chance to rocket his points again.
Arteta (£8.5m)
Certainly a good bargain for his free kicks.
Deco (£8.5m)
Certainly too expensive for a season long sub.
Malouda (£8.5m)
A guy capable of challenging Joe Cole for a place.
A Young (£8.5m)
Villa's new core player after departure of Barry.
Valencia (£8.5m)
Will he able to make the fans to forget Ronaldo?

----------------------

Mid Range (£6.5-8.0m)
Still a lot of good aces and set piece takers at this category.

Barry (£8.0m)
Great potential but also high risks with City.
Wright-Phillips (£8.0m)
Hopeless with so many forwards now in City.
Nasri (£8.0m)
Certainly talented but still too young.
Kalou (£8.0m)
I'm unsure of his role under Carlo Ancelotti.
Ballack (£8.0m)
I don't expect him to be a great FPL player to play beside superb Lampard.
Walcott (£8.0m)
Arsenal youths are all inconsistent.
Essien (£7.5m)
DM stand no place at FPL.
Benayoun (£7.5m)
Always give great performances, but his playing minutes is so limited.
Carrick (£7.5m)
Quite good for his price.
Downing (£7.5m)
Too inferior to compete with A Young.
Modric (£7.5m)
Can he lead the team to success?
Lennon (£7.5m)
A little bit more improvement and he'll be a hot bargain.
Nani (£7.0m)
He's nowhere from Ferguson's plan.
Giggs (£7.0m)
If he doesn't age...
Milner (£7.0m)
Will he be sacrificed for Downing?
Petrov (£7.0m)
Somehow looks very good in pre-season games.
Rosicky (£7.0m)
He'll need to overcome his injury first.
Riera (£7.0m), Babel (£7.0m)
Both are having some problems to success at Anfield.
Osman (£7.0m), Fellaini (£7.0m), Pienaar (£6.5m)
The strong trio of Everton's offense.
Bentley (£7.0m)
Another doomed spell at Tottenham?
Taylor (£7.0m)
Too good to be missed out.
Kranjcar (£7.0m)
The best of Portsmouth, currently.
Murphy (£6.5m)
He grabs all the penalties don't him?
Dempsey (£6.5m)
Watch out for his goals.
Hargreaves (£6.5m)
He had already flirted with the physios for years.
Tosic (£6.5m)
He's nowhere with that price.
Gamst Pederson (£6.5m)
A revival under Big Sam? Not that positive.
Jenas (£6.5m)
Certainly not impressive, although not bad.

----------------------

Cheap (£6.0m and below)
A good gamble on here will give you great surprises!

Geovanni (£6.0m)
Hull's one man strategy will not be effective anymore.
Scholes (£6.0m)
I don't think he'll have a big role this season.
Malbranque (£6.0m)
Good attacking possibilities.
Gomez (£6.0m)
Forget about Wigan.
Milijas (£6.0m)
As far as I know, he's Serbian league's player of the year.
Park (£6.0m)
Maybe a bigger role this season.
Bullard (£6.0m)
He to lead the tigers to safety?
Delap (£5.5m), Lawrence (£5.5m)
Decent players.
Eagles (£5.5m)
An important lad of Burnley.
Palacios (£5.5m)
Not much prospect in FPL.
Fletcher (£5.5m)
How many games will he feature this season?
Kightly (£5.5m)
19 assists also in EPL?
Wilshere (£5.0m)
One of Wenger's product of stubborness for youth.
P Neville (£5.0m)
He'll get nothing with his status as a midfielder.
Lucas (£5.0m), Mascherano (£5.0m)
Big names from South America who are not favorites in FPL.
Riise (£5.0m)
John Arne Riise's younger brother.
Mikel (£5.0m)
Good value.
Cattermole (£5.0m)
Famous because of rumours with Liverpool?
Anderson (£5.0m)
His only know how to shoot wide.
Cana (£5.0m)
He might be a big bonus collector.
Marney (£4.5m)
Phil Brown's most underestimated player.

I expect you to invest around £37-45m in this area due to the fact that midfielders have the ability to give you the most points on the field. Note that each goals by midfielders give you 5 points, and with a midfielder who takes free kicks and penalties he'll definitely much more profitable than forwards. So always make your way for set piece takers as these are easiest way to score goals and assists.

How to start your midfielders? If you have 5 good midfielders, deploy all of them for every game unless you can almost assure that any particular player won't get anything more than two points that week. And of course, captain your big guns you if they are playing against weak clubs for that gameweek.

My Top 5 Picks (Excluding Core Players in Part 1, In Order)
  1. Murphy - Cheap deal with high score. He's old but accurate and takes free kicks and penalties for Fulham.
  2. Taylor - An ace for £7.0m who scores a lot is certainly too good to be missed.
  3. Arteta - He has a high points per game figure thanks to his great free kicks.
  4. Fabregas - He isn't the captain of Arsenal for nothing.
  5. Kightly - He is a great talent in attack.
Other good picks: A Young, Kuyt, Barry, Modric, Lennon, Milijas, Fellaini, Delap, Mendy, Carrick, Dempsey, Valencia

Thank you for proceeding to view my two cents guides. This is part 3, a guide for selecting defenders for your team. Again, lets review some facts about good defenders of FPL:
  1. He should secure a lot of clean sheets (at least 15 if he's a member of big four, 12 for others).
  2. He should score goals or provide assists occasionally (preferably combined figure of at least 3).
  3. He should score plenty of bonuses (preferably 10++).
  4. He should free from any frequent or long injuries and cards.

Expensive (£7.0 onwards)
In this price range, you'll maximise your points on defense, but do you have that kind of budget?

Vidic (£8.0m)
Still strong, but expected to be weakened compared to last season.
Zhirkov (£7.5m)
If he start as LM, he'll be too good to be missed.
Terry (£7.5m)
I'll rather go for his teammates. A great player, but not a great FPL choice.
Bosingwa (£7.5m)
Strong, but a little bit pricey this season.
Johnson (£7.5m)
We need time to see his adaptivity.
Lescott (£7.5m)
Good at Everton; doubtful if at Manchester City.
Carragher (£7.0m)
Consistent and injury free.
Ferdinand (£7.0m)
It's such a long time ago when he shone.
Alex (£7.0m)
Too expensive.
Cole (£7.0m)
Much inferior compared to Bosingwa.
Aurelio (£7.0m)
Heavily overpriced.

----------------------

Mid Range (£5.5-6.5m)
In this range you expect to gamble for some potential players.

Evra (£6.5m)
A consistent starter from Man Utd with cheaper price.
Baines (£6.5m)
He had proven himself on the ending stage last season.
Toure (£6.5m)
His move to Manchester City is a great news - only for himself.
Sagna (£6.5m), Gallas (£6.5m), Vermaelen (£6.5m)
I don't trust Arsenal's defense.
Clichy (£6.5m)
Will his offense cover up the score he'll lose for defense?
Agger (£6.5m), Skrtel (£6.0m)
We'll need to determine who'll partner Carragher first.
Jagielka (£6.0m)
A strong man who grab a lot of bonuses.
Insua (£6.0m)
Can he steal the place from Aurelio?
Brown (£6.0m), O'Shea (£5.5m), Rafael (£5.5m), Neville (£5.5m)
Who'll sit firmly on the RB position?
Hangeland (£5.5m)
Will he be as good as before even with increased intensity of Fulham's games?
Bale (£5.5m), Corluka (£5.5m)
Any improvements from them?
Upson (£5.5m)
Can he lead his teammates for resolute defense?
Song (£5.5m)
A MF ended up and DF in FPL. Interesting.
Bridge (£5.5m)
The highest salary full-back had never earned scores which tallies to his pay.

----------------------

Cheap (£5.0 and below)
This price range offers the most attractive choices but with high degree of uncertainties.

Warnock (£5.0m)
Might playing as LMF. Have a close eye on him.
Cahill (£5.0m), Steinsson (£5.0m)
Great attacking ability with cheap price.
Knight (£5.0m)
I wonder if he can prove himself at Bolton.
Woodgate (£5.0m)
If he can be less fragile...
Hughes (£5.0m), Pantsil (£5.0m)
Pay £0.5m more and you can get Hangeland. Not quite worthy.
Campbell (£5.0m), Distin (£5.0m)
Experienced but old.
Finnan (£4.5m)
Will he attack from behind just like his days at Anfield?
Faye Ab (£4.5m), Shawcross (£4.5m)
Stoke's defenders who can attack.
A Ferdinand (£4.5m)
Will Bruce pump him up to his brother's standard?
Turner (£4.5m)
The pillar of Hull City.
Bramble (£4.5m), Figueroa (£4.5m)
Will them be affected by Wigan's awful frontline?
R Johnson (£4.5m)
Has good scoring records from set pieces.
Ridgewell (£4.0m)
One of the Birmingham's defenders I will consider to take.

You should invest neither too much nor too less on defenders. By overspending you'll have a sloppy lineup of midfielders; by underspending you'll waste the easiest way to secure for 6 points - clean sheets. My advice will be spend for around £25-28m on this area. As for combinations, it's all up to you except for two things. Firstly, don't pick multiple defenders from the same team as it is very risky to start them together, even if they're from big four. Secondly, don't include substitutes in your teams as season starters can earn you 2 points for 60 minutes played per game at least while substitutes do not.

How to pick your defenders for game? It's relatively easy. Just find the ones with easier opponents and you'll have a better chance to grab the 4 clean sheet points. Note that it's more likely for teams outside of big three (Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd) to score clean sheets when they're away due to their tendency to contain and defend. As stated, this does not apply to Chelsea, Liverpool or Man Utd.

My Top 7 Picks (In Order)
  1. Agger/Skrtel - Cheaper ones from top four. Agger is great in offense while Skrtel is solid in defense. Both are well proven, so whoever who is able partner Carragher will be a good choice. Expected pts: 150 pts.
  2. Brown/O'Shea/Rafael/G Neville - Another set of cheaper ones, but this one with bigger headache of guessing. I think it's either O'Shea or Rafael. Expected pts: 140.
  3. Evra - He is a definite starter for LB and is cheaper than both Ferdinand and Vidic. Expected pts: 140.
  4. Zhirkov - He can play as both LB and LM, but he'll need to battle for his place first. Expected pts: 160.
  5. R Johnson - He scored five goals last season... on the premiership. Expected pts: 130.
  6. Warnock - He's playing under Allardyce now, and he might end up playing as LM. Expected pts: 140.
  7. Shawcross - Decent in both offense and defense. Expected pts: 130.

Other good picks: Carragher, Hangeland, Jagielka, Steinsson, Cahill, A Ferdinand

After selecting the core pointers of your team, now we should proceed to part 2, which is about picking goalkeepers for your team. Lets read the following important facts first...

A good goalkeeper of FPL should:
  1. Secure a lot of clean sheets (at least 15 if he's a member of big four, 12 for others).
  2. Perform a lot of saves (at least 120 unless he's a member of big four).
  3. Have at least 95% of playing time (hardly ever absent).

Expensive (£6.0m onwards)
It's never worthy to buy expensive keepers as cheaper keepers are very great value multipliers. Still, a expensive keeper may give you more security since they are more stable compared to the cheaper ones.

Van der Sar (£6.5m)
The chief goalkeeper of Man Utd is unarguably the best last season due to the Reds Devil successful defences. But he won't have that kind of performance every season - especially when he needed to rest for hectic schedules.
Cech (£6.5m)
The Cech for this season is promising due to arrival of Carlo Ancelotti. Carlo will definitely bring in his Italian style of football to Chelsea - which means more defense.
Reina (£6.5m)
It's a highly doubtful season for Reina. The departure of Xabi Alonso is a great blow to the Reds' defense.
Howard (£6.0m)
While Moyes is a great man in structuring Everton's defence, it's highly doubtful for Howard to shine before we can confirm that Lescott will stay.
Almunia (£6.0m)
Arsenal's defense is never good enough to enter my team.

----------------------

Mid Range (£5.0-5.5m)
In this price range we can find some decent keepers - if you can make a good guess.

Schwarzer (£5.5m)
As good as ever. But you have to take account for Fulham's hectic calendar this year.
Given (£5.5m)
He's proven, but City's defense isn't yet.
Friedel (£5.5m)
No Martin Laursen=No Good Defense?
Green (£5.0m)
Good lad. Great? Wait and see.
James (£5.0m)
So many uncles at Portsmouth and you still want him? Better think twice.
Gomes (£5.0m)
He can shine under Harry Redknapp... but only at White Hart Lane?

----------------------

Cheap (£4.5m and below)
Cheap doesn't mean bad. There are a lot of cheap keepers who are good bargains as well.

Gordon (£4.5m)
This year might be Sunderland's year, so pay attention to him.
Jaaskelainen (£4.5m)
He's good, but he's playing for a midtabler.
Robinson (£4.5m)
I don't see in any way Blackburn's defense is going to improve this season.
Kirkland (£4.5m)
I don't expect a keeper from a poor club to shine.
Sorensen (£4.0m)
Too cheap to be missed out, don't him?
Hart/Taylor (£4.0m)
I need to know who will start for Birmingham first.
Jensen (£4.0m)
A keeper for a team expected to be relegated won't do any good for your team.
Myhill/Duke (£4.0m)
We'll need to see what Phil Brown can change this season.
Hahnemann (£4.0m)
Forget about it. Offense is the best defense for Wolves.

So who should be picked for your starting keeper? If you want the highest security, I'll suggest Cech. You'll be delighted with Carlo's emphasis on defense, which will leave Cech to do as least number of saves as possible.

If you don't have the budget, then Schwarzer's a great choice. His heroic saves added with Fulham's strength will at least secure him score plenty of clean sheets again this season. Also have a look on the good yet inconsistent Gomes.

Still want cheaper? Sorensen is the choice. Stoke's rigid defense will help him. Gordon is considerable too with Bruce around.

While for substitute keeper, you should get someone who is £4.0m. No point having a world class keeper like Reina or Cech only to sit on your bench for at least 30 games right? You should instead invest on other areas. Sorensen and Hart/Taylor (depends on who'll get the starting position) are the best choice to bench your team.

My Top 3 Picks (In Order)
  1. Cech - Always the best keeper, and now even better with Ancelotti who'll definitely help strengthen Chelsea's defense. Expected pts: 180.
  2. Sorensen - Stoke's greatest assets. At £4.0m, I don't see anyway to rule him out of my team. A must for me. Expected pts: 140.
  3. Gomes - I think this year will be Tottenham year under a full season management of Harry Redknapp. Gomes will get a lot of clean sheets, at least at home. Expected pts: 150.

Other good picks: Reina, Van der Sar, Schwarzer and Jaaskelainen.

After a detailed descriptions and recommendations for players of 20 teams of the premier league, now I should give you a guide on how to construct your teams.

This is part 1, consisting of picking the core players of your team. Here are the characteristics of a core player:
  1. He is expected to supply you at least 180 points for the whole season.
  2. He'll usually be the captain due to his high possibility of scoring double figures.
  3. He is usually the man who claims bonus points.
  4. He is one of the most expensive man of FPL.
  5. He is magnificent on the actual arena of football.
And now lets analyse the kings of FPL one by one, in no particular order...

Frank Lampard

Lampard

Lampard's attacking sense added with his accurate ball delivery makes him one of the best CAM in the world. The perfect player in Fantasy Premier League.

Expected Points: 210
Risk: 10%
Positive Factors: Main FK and CK Taker
Negative Factors: Aging

Steven Gerrard

Gerrard

The skipper of Liverpool is a borned leader who is never willing to give up. He's a less accurate version of Lampard, but his ability to dribble eventually crosses out that inferiority.

Expected Points: 210
Risk: 20%
Positive Factors: Main FK and CK Taker, Hunger for Trophy
Negative Factors: Possible Leaving of Xabi Alonso

Andrei Arshavin

Arshavin

The new tsar of Russia had shaken the arena of football since his arrival from Zenit St Petersburg. His superb shooting accuracy added with his outstanding teamplay had set him up to be the ace of Arsenal as soon as he arrived.

Expected Points: 210
Risk: 15%
Positive Factors: Superb Accuracy, Wonderful Intepretation on Field
Negative Factors: Arsenal's Inconsistency

Wayne Rooney

Rooney

The expected new ace of Manchester United will back to his favorite position - CF this season. With the teams now rotate around him instead of Ronaldo, the most ferocious striker of the league will shine.

Expected Points: 190
Risk: 20%
Positive Factors: Ronaldo's Departure (He's the New Ace)
Negative Factors: Ronaldo's Departure (Possibly Less Assists)

Fernando Torres

Torres

The speed, height and goaling sense of the number 9 of Liverpool makes him one of the fearest forward of EPL. But on top of that he'll need to make sure that he's free from any injuries.

Expected Points: 200
Risk: 35%
Positive Factors: Lone Striker
Negative Factors: Fitness, Possible Leaving of Xabi Alonso

The team that own 5 of them altogether will definitely win the season, but sadly with £100m you can't do that. The most optimum solution is to own 3 of them. With less you will have a high possibility to score low for some weeks, especially when the both of them clash with each other or their team battle against other big four respectively in the same gameweek; with more the rest of your team will surely be a crap as you'll be forced to buy all those £4.0m players.

Why don't replace them with cheaper star such as Robinho, Ashley Young, Arteta etc such that you can get more stars? Now here's the comparison of Lampard-Gerrard-Arshavin (Team Red) vs Kuyt-Arteta-Fabregas-Van Persie (Team Blue):
  1. The sum of points per game for all members of Team Red was 20.3 last season; it was only 20.2 for Team Blue which has one extra people.
  2. If we captain Arshavin, then Team Red will have 27.4 points in average; by captaining Kuyt, Team Blue will only get 25.3 points in average.
  3. If we multiply the figure with 35 games a season (3 games accounted for injuries, fatigueness etc), Team Red will get a grand total of 959 points; Team Blue will only get 886 points.
  4. Team Red costs only £36m in total; Team Blue costs £38.5m.
  5. Team Blue is much worse in terms of fitness (except Kuyt).
I believe you are smart enough to make your choice right?

Personally Lampard will definitely take a position of my big guns trio, with only one of Gerrard or Torres can stay to reduce the risks. Arshavin should be taken if you picked Torres while Rooney is the one for the opposite. I don't recommend for Lampard, Gerrard and Arshavin trio as there are a lot of promising yet cheap midfielders who are primary set piece takers, while the players with such criteria are rare in forwards.

My prefences in order (with justification):

1. Lampard - Arshavin - Torres
Torres is a better deal than Rooney for only an addition of £0.5m
only, while Arshavin is much cheaper than Gerrard. Perfect
balance in value and performance.
2. Lampard - Gerrard - Rooney
Lampard with Gerrard will maximise the scoring for you. Rooney is
chosen instead of Torres to reduce the risks of having low scores
when Liverpool is not in form.
3. Gerrard/Lampard - Arshavin - Rooney
Cheaper but most possibly lower scores as well.

The dont's:

1. Lampard - Gerrard - Arshavin
There are a lot of cheap and decent midfielders compared to strikers.
Don't sacrifice them just because this trio will get the most points.
2. Torres - Rooney - Arshavin/Lampard/Gerrard
It's too risky as you'll only score high when there are goals around.
