Arsenal

West Ham

Fulham
2-0HinesExpect some ugly battle from this game.
Chelsea

The Must "In"s

Saha - With such a fine form goals are guaranteed.

Adebayor - He rested so long that I think he'll score in all the goals he couldn't due to his suspensions in these following fixtures.

Luke's Dream Team of the Week

Jensen

Vermaelen Alexander Baines

Giggs Lennon Benayoun Elliott

Van Persie Rooney Saha

Captain: Rooney
Alternative Captain Picks: Giggs, Van Persie
Team Value: £78.4m

  1. Jensen - Clean sheet is highly probable with Burnley at home.
  2. Vermaelen - May see another goal from him again.
  3. Alexander - Same reason with Jensen.
  4. Baines - He kicks corner, takes penalty, and gets 4 points if clean sheet (same reason with last week).
  5. Giggs - Unbelievably good.
  6. Lennon - The most reliable player on Tottenham.
  7. Benayoun - His Messi-style dribbling will give a hard time to Chelsea's defence.
  8. Elliott - Burnley's attacking ace in going forward.
  9. Van Persie - He assures goals for Arsenal.
  10. Rooney - Time to explode for his two-games scoring drought.
  11. Saha - The major goal source of Everton.

Poll of the Fortnight: How Many Will Golden Boot Score This Season?

It's the time to analyse another poll of the fortnight. In this week, as you can see, the topic is: how many will golden boot score this season?

38% voted that it'll be around 26-30 goals. For this season, this benchmark should be a easy one to pass due to the attacking fever of EPL. As you can see, there's already more than 3 goals per game for consecutive 3 gameweeks.

Followed up closely is the vote for 21-25 goals (32%). I think this is mostly due to last season's embarrassing golden boot record of 19 goals (Nicholas Anelka) which led to pessimistic view of the particular respondents. However, this season won't be the same, trust me. =)

Next is 31-35 goals (18%). While this figure is quite high, I still think that it's plausible for the likes like Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba, as long as they're free from major injuries.

6% of the respondents voted for more than 35 goals this season! This figure is insanely high I can see. Unless Torres is fit for all 38 games and has awesome performances like what he did currently (an average of more than one goal per game), otherwise, nah. Only Torres is capable for that don't you think? Drogba and rooney, in my opinion, should score less than him due to double role of shoot and assist.

Finally, 4% of our fellow voters voted that it'll be less than 21 goals. Come on guys, how can this be possible? Torres already scored 8 in 7 games, while both Rooney, Bent and Drogba each has 6 in the pocket! If you project it to the end of the season, by such form, even scoring 40 is possible.

What say you?

Post-Match Analysis: Gameweek 7

So match day 7 ended with whole lots of excitements. I am very happy with so many goals scored this week, but for my fantasy team, I am so angry with it which ultimately makes me to use wild card without any consideration. Luckily there's Bent to save my gameweek. I don't need to think anyway when they are so many junk players in my team such as Mendy, Duff, Anton Ferdinand, Lampard (considering his price he's quite a junk because of Drogba) and most importantly, the negative pointer Petr Cech. Well, enough for my ramblings. Lets see the results on this gameweek.

Heroes and Zeroes

The Fantasy Hero of the Heroes Award

Robbie Keane
First player to score four this season. He sensationally reclaimed his position as the king of White Hart Lane.

The Rest of the Heroes
Torres - For slicing Hull City defence like tofu.
Bent - For making Wolves looked more like pussy cats than them.
Babel - For having so much luck to tip in 2 goals.
Giggs - For changing the tide of the game with his 2 assists.
Mannone - For keeping consecutive clean sheets - something more than Almunia in less games.
Bramble - For ending Chelsea's unstoppable streak.
O'Shea - For becoming the first Man Utd's defender to score a goal this season.
Martinez - For leading Wigan to pressure Chelsea to victory.
Tevez - For kicking his former club's ass.

Zeroes
Me - For not bringing in Fernando Torres this week, despite predicting he'll get a hat-trick.
Aston Villa - For their inability to win with man advantage.
Skrtel - For his awful header that made Glen Johnson not to have a clean sheet this week.
Chelsea - For being raped by Wigan deservedly.
Wolves - For looking like pussies rather than wolves.

Exclusive This Week: Negatives

Petr Cech
I am totally impressed with his ability to score a -1 this week.

Highlights

Triple Delight
Any team with Keane, Bent and Torres simply owns this gameweek due to their insanely high combined score - 56! Even without captaining them, the three of them have already passed through the average mark by a lot, not to be mentioned there are still 8 players' scores which are yet to be counted. Unfortunately, I just have Bent where I'll only get 22 points without him.

The Ultimate Trident

Fallen at Last
After seven games, finally Chelsea who secured 6 victories in a row fell at DW stadium. Ever since the game begun, Wigan was the side who kept pressuring the Blues. Quite shocking wasn't it? Cech's suspension further worsen the situation, and thus Chelsea's deserved this 1-3 defeat. Good news to Liverpudlians as they will visit to Stamford Bridge without having to face Cech - something which make the game more even-steven.

"Taste my head, Petr Cech!"

More and More Emphatic
You just couldn't believe the attacking frenzy of premier league this season - more than 110 goals in 3 gameweeks! Liverpool leads the attacking table with an average of more than 3 goals per game, while teams such as Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea and Tottenham are terrorising other teams' defence as well. Thinking of putting all your money on strikers? Don't hesitate.

The deadly hat-trick duo.
