Fantasy Focus
Analysis of big showdowns this week.

Arsenal vs Liverpool
Prediction: 1-1

Arsenal will try their best to get out of the victoryless streak when they fight against Liverpool later.

Arshavin is always the biggest threat of the reds to score five goals during their last two league encounter with them. However two straight league defeat may open up the chances for Liverpool to snatch one or even three points from the gunners' mighty fortress.

Basically, as long as Mascherano and Lucas play brutally I think the fragile Arsenal midfield will be hard to break through Liverpool's defences which have found stability recently. The game should be tight in my opinion.

Liverpool might be in deep trouble without him around.

Aston Villa vs Manchester United
Prediction: 1-1

Manchester United will have a hard time this midweek as they visit to Villa Park to battle with Aston Villa.

Manchester United continued their red hot streak after a giving a devastating defeat to Portsmouth; Villa had already four matches undefeated with only a victory in these.

With the contrast of form I still back Villa to earn a draw at home since the title contenders usually take their turn to lose points and it should now be United's turn again. Good momentum needs to have a short break in between.

Another blast of goals?

The Terry-ble Continues

A catastrophic week for Terry since the outbreak of his affair with Perroncel as now his England's captain armband had been withdrawn.

The disloyal Chelsea's captain is expected to loss couple of millions due to his actions. In fact, he had already lost eight million pounds to keep Perroncel's mouth shut.

A lesson for all of us: there's a price for being flirty.

The biggest winner.

Fantasy Commentary
My view towards matches played this week.

Liverpool 1-0 Everton

Liverpool now looked much more like the runner-up last season after the victory against their Merseyside counterpart Everton.

The game begun with much brutal actions, but in general it was quite boring. Sotirios Kyrgiakos - the hero of Liverpool for the last several games, nearly gave his team a disaster after being sent off in as early as 35th minute - when both sides were still level.

However, luck seemed to be always on the reds' side recently when Maruonne Fellaini was injured not much later and Kuyt scored a goal from Gerrard's corner on the second half.

And the heroic Dutch's 50th goal for Liverpool was enough to seal a win for Liverpool and extend their unbeaten league runs to seven matches with only one goal conceded from these before Pienaar was awarded his second yellow of the match.

Four goals in four games.

Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal

Arsenal suffered another setback in their Barclays Premier League trophy hunt after another defeat in the London derby.

As expected, the host controlled the game firmly and it was nothing surprise when Didier Drogba gained his side the lead in just seven minutes. And in just 15 minutes Drogba added his second to seal the victory that helped them to regain their first spot on the league.

And despite Arsenal's improved performance on the second half, they were unable to do anything which left them nine points behind of the title.

With Liverpool on the next game, the gunners might even got trapped in the battle for third should they lose again...

"Oh it's so EASY."

The Rest

Bolton and Tottenham both caught drawn with Fulham and Aston Villa respectively, while Burnley and Birmingham both won 2-1 against their opponents.

Three own goals from Portsmouth saw Manchester United won easily against them, while Manchester City surprisingly lost to Hull.

Stoke City took three points from Blackburn easily thanks to Etherington's superb display, while Sunderland were held level with Wigan.

Gary Cahill to End the Season?

Gary Cahill may be rested for the rest of the campaign after suffering a blood clot on his arm.

The Bolton's chief defender was sent to hospital after his hand being found swollen. The doctor then diagnosed that there's a internal blood clot on his arm and he needs to be treated.

This is indeed a big problem for Owen Coyle, and also big problem for Cahill himself who aimed for a World Cup position...

Unfortunate.
